Which Forest Management Goal is Right for You and Your Forest?

Forest Management is flexible to your personal interest and goals. Not all forests can be managed in the same way. Location, soil types, water availability, etc. will affect the species composition. For example, areas with dry rocky outcrops will not be suited for high quality timber production. There usually isn’t enough water or soil nutrients to allow trees to reach their full potential. That doesn’t mean these areas are useless. They can be turned into wildlife corridors or thickets for cover.

Forests are extremely resilient and will grow almost anywhere! With the assistance of a professional forester, you can achieve you forest goals and generate some cash to help pay property taxes!
